Fadzai made a decision to venture into menstrual hygiene and health (MHH) in 2020 after she became aware of the plight of women and girls in accessing decent materials to manage their monthly periods, particularly those from vulnerable and marginalized communities. She is now actively making a contribution towards improving menstrual hygiene in her community through her project, Confy Essentials.

Sustainable Care

Confy Essentials is a feminine wellness brand which focuses on providing access to affordable, high quality, eco-friendly menstrual products, and educational programs to help reduce the shame and stigma that is often associated with menstruation.

Rooted Passion

Fadzai has worked with local organisations such as Sinani and Smart Girls Foundation to promote menstrual dignity within her local communities both in Zimbabwe and South Africa. She is passionate about the growth and development of sustainable women-owned enterprises.

Success

This has led her to establish a manufacturing project for reusable & biodegradable sanitary pads production. The project is aimed at equipping local women with income generating skills as well as to improve product access and choice for women and girls in her local community.

Education & Awareness

We seek to provide increased awareness to girls and women on menstrual hygiene management (MHM) in order to improve their health and well being. We train women in local communities in reusable sanitary pad manufacturing. We also empower them to become sales agents while disseminating essential MHM awareness to other women and girls in their communities.

With every product sold, we are able to give back towards our social mission targeted at providing MHM education and distribution of sanitary kits to vulnerable young girls in impoverished communities around us.
